I am always thankful to live in the USA and don't take my God given freedom for granted but especially on a day like this. Our nation swore in a new President and no one was hurt or died. In so many nations this would be a time for bloodshed and strife. I am thankful to live in a country where I freely take my family to church and go to the store safely and securely.
On this day I have a feeling of sadness and hope as well. Sadness that our president of 8 years is done with his turn at running our nation. Although I did not vote for Obama I have hope that he will do a good job at running our Country and be a good leader. He is OUR President now and I respect that! Whatever your political affiliation President Obama needs our prayers as he takes over the BIG job of running our country.

I was afraid there would be violence, somewhere... fingers crossed and keep praying that it doesn't happen.

I too did not vote for him. I will give him respect and pray that he does his best in what God wants but not for the people.
